1. Contact Empathy Hearing Aid Center
Call or text (951) 268-0097 and tell us about your hearing concerns or the service you need.
We may ask about:
Your Norco appointment location
Any gate, parking, or property-access instructions
The hearing difficulties you are experiencing
Whether you currently wear hearing aids
The manufacturer and model of your hearing aids
Your insurance or hearing-benefit information
Whether a family member or caregiver will participate
This information helps us determine the appropriate appointment and prepare the necessary equipment and supplies.
2. We Confirm the Appropriate Service
We will confirm that your home is within our current Norco appointment area.
We will also determine the type of visit you need, such as a hearing evaluation, hearing aid consultation, fitting, programming appointment, adjustment, cleaning, or repair service.
If you plan to use insurance or a hearing-benefit program, we can review the available information before scheduling. Benefits, copayments, technology options, and authorization requirements vary by plan.
3. We Arrange Your Mobile Appointment
Your appointment will be scheduled for an agreed-upon date and time.
A quiet indoor area with a chair and small table is generally helpful. If the appointment involves existing hearing aids, please have the hearing aids, charger, accessories, and any available paperwork ready.
If a family member, caregiver, or responsible party needs to participate, we recommend coordinating their availability before the appointment.
Please provide any gate codes, parking directions, animal-related instructions, or other property-access information before the visit.
4. We Bring Professional Hearing-Care Equipment
An Empathy Hearing Aid Center hearing care provider will arrive with the portable professional equipment and supplies needed for the scheduled service.
Depending on the purpose of your appointment, the visit may include:
A discussion of your hearing and communication concerns
Review of your hearing and hearing-aid history
Visual inspection of your ears
Hearing testing when appropriate
Inspection and assessment of your current hearing aids
Hearing aid cleaning, troubleshooting, or programming
Real-ear measurement when fitting or verifying hearing aids
Discussion of hearing aid options and recommendations
If testing or observation indicates that medical evaluation may be appropriate, you will be advised to contact a physician or another qualified healthcare provider before proceeding.
5. We Explain the Findings and Available Options
If a hearing evaluation is performed, the results will be explained in understandable language. We will discuss how your hearing may affect conversations and everyday listening situations.
If hearing aids are appropriate, available styles, technology levels, features, pricing, and applicable hearing benefits will be reviewed. You and your family will have an opportunity to ask questions before making a decision.
6. Your Hearing Aids Are Fitted and Verified
If you select hearing aids, a fitting appointment will be arranged after the devices are ordered and received.
During the fitting, the hearing aids will be programmed according to your hearing results and communication needs. Real-ear measurement may be used when appropriate to verify how the hearing aids are performing in your ears.
We will also review:
How to insert and remove the hearing aids
Charging or battery replacement
Cleaning and routine maintenance
Volume and program controls
Telephone and Bluetooth features when applicable
What to expect while adjusting to amplification
Family members and caregivers are welcome to participate so they can understand the hearing aids and provide assistance when needed.
7. Ongoing Support Comes to You
Hearing care does not end with the initial fitting. Adjustments may be needed as you begin using your hearing aids in different listening situations.
Follow-up appointments allow us to address comfort, sound quality, speech understanding, maintenance, and any difficulties you experience.
Mobile follow-up care can be scheduled at your Norco home when appropriate. Remote or mail-in assistance may also be available for certain services and hearing aid models.
